Koye Edu is a legal powerhouse, recognized for his expertise in Capital Markets, Banking & Finance, Project Finance, Real Estate, Immigration, and Mergers & Acquisitions. With nearly 30 years of experience, Koye is known for transforming complex legal challenges into clear, actionable strategies that create value for clients across various sectors.

He has played a key role in some of Nigeria’s most impactful transactions, such as advising on the sale of the Nigerian Federal Government’s interest in Capital Hotel Plc (owners of the Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers), and the acquisition of assets from the former All States Trust Bank by Ecobank Plc, and Lead Assurance Bank by Afribank Plc. Koye’s expertise in Project Development and Finance has also been crucial in major projects, like the US$240 million syndicated loan for a telecommunications company laying a submarine fiber-optic cable across the Atlantic.

In addition to his deal-making skills, Koye is known for his ability to provide sound business advice that drives growth and innovation. His strategic guidance has shaped industries such as telecoms, transport, energy, real estate, and hospitality, including advising state-level infrastructure bonds and the financing of MainOne’s undersea cable.

As Co-Managing Partner of Jackson, Etti & Edu, Koye leads the firm with a blend of legal brilliance and business acumen.
